USC community pep rally set for Aug. 26th
The Upper St. Clair Athletic Department will host it’s 3rd annual Community Pep Rally at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at the high school stadium. The event is free and open to the community.
The pep rally will include a variety of competitions among the Upper St. Clair High School fall varsity sports teams including girls’ and boys’ cross country, golf and soccer; football; girls’ volleyball; girls’ tennis; field hockey; cheerleading; band; dance, hip-hop, ice hockey and rowing. Events will include limbo, a pie eating contest, tug-of-war, field goal kicking contest and more.
Attendees are asked to support The Education Partnership, a local nonprofit that provides school supplies to students and classrooms in need, by dropping off donations of back-to-school supplies. Pencils, 24-pack crayons, eight-pack markers, colored pencils, one subject spiral notebooks, standard glue sticks, scissors, two-pocket folders, 150 sheet filler paper packs, copy paper (500 sheets per ream), scotch tape, cap erasers, jumbo erasers, and pencil sharpeners are the most needed supplies. In addition to friendly team competitions, the event will also feature performances by the Upper St. Clair High School marching band Dance and hip-hop and cheerleaders as well as an appearance by the panther mascot. The Kona Ice Truck will be on hand selling refreshments. Panther fans can also purchase ATHLETIC PASSES 19-20 at the event.
