Last week the Upper St. Clair Rowing Team held a Learn to Row camp for students Grades 7-12. The participants and our organization are very excited about the event. Although the current circumstances are not ideal for organizing an event, with some creativity we feel the program went very well and the kids had a lot of fun.
In the few hours, and during a time where the students have limited contact, the students got introduced to the sport of Rowing. The coach – former London 2012 Olympian – managed to get the students out in the boats and the program went very well! After finishing the Learn to Row camp last week, some students were so impressed with rowing they decided to participate a in the Summer camp that coach Florin Curuea is running.
We have great news! There is a second Learn to Row camp in just a few weeks: August 4+5+6 | 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
There are still a few spots left, so go to the www.uscrowing.org website and register. It is completely free and you will get a chance to learn from the best!
